WASHINGTON, D.C. –  Last night, former President Donald Trump was indicted for a fourth time, this time with 13 charges related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 Presidential results in Georgia. 

Congressman Jamaal Bowman, Ed.D. (NY-16) released the following statement:

“This indictment, along with the many others, hopefully gets us one step closer to accountability and justice. Trump’s actions after the 2020 elections — trying to overturn the Georgia results and inciting an insurrection — have derailed trust and faith in the U.S. government and the electoral process and harmed the American people. Joe Biden won the 2020 election. Fair and square. Holding Trump accountable for his attempts to illegally overturn elections is essential for our nation, to move past this particularly ugly time in U.S. history.”
